Nudgings and choices in faith

This post is just a link to my contribution at the Firebowl communal blog.  It is indeed kind of neat how, being asked to reflect on a topic (last month, "Joy") and reading others' reflections can serve and minister to my own heart.  If you haven't already, take a read.

So, do I still blog...do music...?

Well, I wrote something up last week, but it's been passed on as a contribution to The Fire Bowl group blog.  I'll link to it, when it's up.  And well, besides messing around on Garage Band with my nephew or with a co-worker at a training weekend, I haven't done any recording.

BUT, with another trip to Europe coming up (this time, to live there) and a new camera purchased, I expect to get back on top of this blogging business.  Also, it will be my first term without a part-time job, so maybe I'll feel less busy.  (Although I suspect thinking in French will make me very tired all of the time!)

From one hot and sticky country to another

So, I'm off to Brazil for my fifth time tomorrow. Almost finished packing. Never before have I taken three times as much stuff for other people than what I am taking for myself! I hope it isn't over the weight limit.

Obviously I haven't blogged in ages. There has been a lot going on for me this year--pretty much all rather depressing. I am largely looking forward to this trip; even though it is technically work, getting away is just what I need. I look forward to times of refreshing, whilst sitting in my hammock on a boat in the middle of the Amazon.

Maybe I'll manage to take some pictures this time.
